Description
C1009/C1008 is a double classroom that is used to support larger events. This space has both in-room microphones and speakers and video conference capabilities. This document describes how to set up for a video conference.
Step-by-step guide
Video Conference
1. Turn on the Room Controller
- On the touch panel, tap Touch to Begin.
- Choose:
- Single Room (C1009 only, divider wall closed)
- Dual Room (C1009 + C1008, divider wall open)
- Turn on the PC.
- Sign in using your Douglas College CNA account.
2. Start Your Meeting
- Open Teams or another video conferencing app.
- Open your meeting link.
3. Your Mic., Speakers and Camera
The system defaults to the correct inputs. The room microphones send audio to remote participants and audio from the meeting plays through the room speakers
4. Adjust the Classroom Cameras
On the touch panel:
- Select Instructor Cam (default) or Class Cam.
- Use the controls to:
- Pan/Tilt
- Zoom In/Out
- Select Presets
5. Show the Document Camera (Elmo)
In Teams
- Turn on the Elmo document camera.
- Click ... (More Options).
- Select Switch Camera.
- Select Switch Camera again to return to the classroom camera.
6. Shut Down When Finished
- End or leave the meeting.
- Close Teams.
- Sign out of the classroom PC.
- On the touch panel:
- Select Shutdown.
- Select Power Down.
