Windows 10 operating systems have different versions released at different points during their supported lifetime. To determine whether your computer needs an upgrade to a newer version of Windows 10, you will first need to identify your computer's current version.
To check your computer's version of Windows 10, please follow these steps:
- Click on the Start button in the bottom left-hand corner to access the menu, and click on the gear icon (Settings) positioned above the power icon.

- The Windows Settings window will pop up. Click on System.

- Select the About tab from the left pane of the window. It is the last tab in the left pane.

- The About section will appear in the right pane. Under Windows specifications, see the Version. In this example, the version is 21H2.
