Laptop in a classroom or lecture theatre

Description

All standard classrooms and most specialty classrooms have the ability to display PC-based laptops. If you are using an Apple laptop, you will need to bring an adapter that connects your laptop’s output to HDMI.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Connect your laptop to the projector using the input plate located on the instructor’s desk or lectern.
  2. Use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI output on your laptop to the HDMI input on the desk or lectern.
  3. Turn on the laptop
  4. Turn on the projector by selecting the Projector On button on the Projector Controller.
  5. Select the HDMI button the Projector Controller

No laptop image on screen?

  1. Hold down the Fn key and press F5 (or the F key with an icon showing a computer and screen).
  2. Cycle through the available display options and select the appropriate setting.
  3. Wait a few seconds between settings as the laptop needs time to switch between display modes.
