Instructions for external clients needing to book a PA system from the library and set up PA in S1650 and S1670.
Step-by-step guide

To hold an event
- Book both rooms S1650 and S1670 through Facilities-Room Bookings
- Request Room Bookings that you want the room divider open.
- Let Room Bookings know if you require any specific setup for the tables and chairs.
- Ask Room Bookings to refer you to the NW Library to borrow microphones and related equipment.
Note: Facilities are responsible for opening and closing the room divider. Opening the divider activates the conferencing touch panel room controller.

Set up the microphone system
- Select your head-end room (either S1650 or S1670)
- Plug one end of an XLR cable into the wired microphone and the other end into the XLR Mic input plate at the front of the room.
- Setup the mic stand and place a microphone into the mic clip.
- Turn on the microphone (if it has an on/off switch).
- To prevent tripping, you must use the black gaffer tape to tape down cables.

Adjust microphone audio levels
- Select the “Microphone Control” button on the bottom right of the touch panel screen. The controls screen opens.
- Adjust and test your microphone volume levels using the Microphone Control screen: Touch the speaker icons to raise or lower the volume.

System shutdown
- Select the red Shutdown button to turn off the system.
- A screen will appear: “Do you want to turn both systems off?”
- Select Yes and wait for the shutdown process to complete.

Remove and return PA equipment
- Carefully pull up the black gaffer tape and throw away.
- Disconnect and pack all the PA equipment.
- Return the borrowed equipment to the NW Library.
