Description

Instructions on using the technology within the N1200 Douglas Room. The room controller is connected to the projector, laptop inputs and ceiling speakers. It is located on wall above cabinets at the front of the room. There is a PA or Public Address system In-room only
For events requiring microphones, organizers must submit an Event Technology Support Request Form. Microphone setup and activation are performed by ITS/ATS staff on the day of the event.
Step-by-step guide

To turn on Projector Room Controller
- Select the Display ON button on the Room Controller. The blinking light will become solid when ON.
- Pull down the projection screen, located in front of windows with blackout blinds.

Display a laptop
- A laptop and cable(s) can be brought to the room and connected to the HDMI or VGA/Audio input on the connections plate.
- Turn on laptop. (Electrical outlet on wall for power if needed.)
- Select the LAPTOP button on room controller.

Extend audio to the Cafeteria speakers
If the dividing wall is open and you are using both rooms:
- Select the Cafe SPK ON/OFF button to play or turn off audio in next room.

Microphone Touch Panel
The Microphones Touch Panel controls microphone levels. The panel is located on top of the cabinets at the front of the room (far right).
Employee/Organizer
- Book room N1200
- Submit Event Technology Support Request Form
- Book and sign out mics from Library.
- ITS performs mic activation & setup on day of event

The organizer obtains dedicated mics from the Library.
Douglas Room wireless mics are available for loan from the NW Library
- Sign out the two Douglas Room N1200 Wireless Handheld mics.
- Work with ITS/ATS technician on audio levels.

ITS accesses microphone settings
ITS/ATS accesses the microphone settings:
- Tap Touch Panel to begin: password page appears.
- Enter passcode.
- The Microphone Settings page opens:
- Adjust settings: volume levels, mute/unmute Test volume levels with client(s) before event
- On Extron Room Controller, select Cafe SPK ON button if wall is open.
- Mics:
- All mic settings default to Mute upon Shutdown
- Mics Unmute when ITS/ATS enters passcode on Touch Panel
- Wireless handheld mics are required for volume and mobility

Organizer shutdown audio and video
- On Touch Panel, select Close (upper right) in Microphone Settings: Main page opens.
- Select the Shutdown button, (lower right).
- On Extron Controller, select the OFF button.
- Return all borrowed mics to the Library.

Power down equipment
- Turn off your laptop and remove cable(s).
- Turn off the projector: select the Display OFF button on the room controller.
