These instructions will guide you through the the display and PA requirements for N2400 cafeteria.
Step-by-step guide

The Display and PA System room controller is located on the middle wall. The room controller is connected to a projector and screen in the main area and to ceiling speakers throughout the cafeteria:
- Zone 1: South Cafeteria
- Zone 2: North Cafeteria
- Zone 3: Tim Horton’s Cafeteria
The Cafeteria PA has dedicated wireless microphone capability.

Contact Room Bookings
- Book the NW Cafeteria through Facilities Room Bookings. Facilities will advise you about catering requirements.
- Obtain an event code from Room Bookings (required for the Event Support Request Form).
- Obtain the Touch Panel passcode from Room Bookings.

Book Library equipment in advance
- Provide the Cafeteria event code booking to the Library
- Book the Cafeteria wireless microphones from the Library
- Two dedicated wireless microphones
- Microphone stands with clips
- If using the projector and screen, book a laptop and an HDMI or VGA cable and a mini audio cable.

Start the Display & PA System
On System Room Controller:
- Touch to begin activating the system.
- Enter the passcode when prompted.
- The Zone Control page opens

Audio zone control
On Zone Control page, Zones are muted by default. Mute buttons flash red when muted
- Select Mute buttons to unmute Zones 1, 2 or 3. Unmuted buttons are grey.
- Adjust volume using the up/down arrows: Press and hold or tap arrows.
- Press the Wireless Mic Control button. The Wireless Mic page opens.

Wireless microphones control
On the Wireless Mic page:
- Wireless mics 1 and 2 are unmuted by default. Unmuted buttons are grey.
- Turn on the microphones; mics have on/off switch.
- Test the mics. You should immediately hear yourself through the ceiling speakers.
- Adjust volume using the up and down arrows: Press & hold or tap as needed.
If necessary, go back and forth between the Wireless Mic and Zone Control pages to fine-tune audio levels

Display a laptop
The Display Connections Plate is located on the wall below the Room Controller:
- Connect your laptop cable using either the HDMI input or the VGA & AUDIO inputs. Audio is embedded in the HDMI connection.
- For VGA only
- Connect a mini audio cable to the VGA’s matching AUDIO input.
- Connect other end to the laptop headphone jack.
If needed, go back and forth between your laptop and Zone Control to adjust audio levels.
- Select the Room Controller Display ON button: This activates the projector in the ceiling.

Laptop/iPod audio
The Audio Connections Plate is below the Room Controller.
- Plug one end of cable into the Connections Plate. Plug other end of cable into the iPod or laptop headphone jack.
- Adjust audio levels on the laptop or iPod.
- If needed, go back and forth between device and Zone Control page to adjust audio levels.

Display and PA system shutdown
On Zone Control page:
- Select the Display OFF button to turn off projector. The screen will automatically retract into the ceiling.
- Mute all audio zones.
- Select the red Shutdown button in the lower right corner of the screen.
Library Equipment:
- Turn off all equipment, including borrowed laptop and wireless microphones.
- Return all borrowed laptop, microphones and stands to Library
