How to create a new myApplication account

Setting up your myApplication account is quick, easy and should take just a few minutes. Follow the steps below to get started.

Note: This system is only available to students with current active applications to the College.

To apply to Douglas College, please visit EducationPlannerBC.

Step 1: Go to the login page

From the login page, click “Sign Up”:

Step 2: Enter your details

Complete in the registration form with the following information and click SUBMIT:

  • First name – Enter your legal name to match your application data.
  • Last name – Enter your legal name to match your application data.
  • Email address – Use the same email address you provided in your Douglas College application. Your email address will be used as your username and cannot be changed once entered.
  • Nine digit student ID – Use your Douglas College student ID as provided in your application confirmation email.
  • Birthdate – Enter your date of birth.

Step 3: Verify your email and create your password

Once you have submitted the form:

  1. Check your inbox for a verification email (subject: “Confirm Your New Account”).
  2. Click the “Verify Email” button or follow the link.
    1. If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder.
  3. Create a secure password that meets the following requirements:
  • Minimum 12 characters
  • Includes alphabetic, numeric and special characters (e.g., !, @, #)

Pro Tip: Avoid using birthdays, pet names or the word “password.” Hackers love low-hanging fruit.

Step 4: Login to view your application

After verification, you will be redirected to the login page. Once logged in, you can:

  • View your Douglas College application(s)
  • View your document checklist and due dates
  • View messages regarding your application
