At Douglas College, you have access to two video conferencing tools that support online learning: Zoom and Microsoft Teams. These resources allow you to attend virtual class sessions, meet with classmates remotely, collaborate on assignments in real time and more.

Zoom to Teams Transition: Douglas College, like many other post-secondary institutions in BC, has decided to transition to Teams as our primary video conferencing platform, with our license expiring in May 2026. More @DC Connect News
Zoom features video and audio conferencing, collaboration, chats and webinars across mobile devices, desktops and telephones. It is integrated into the Blackboard system and may be used by your instructor for teaching or open office hours.
You don’t need your own Zoom account to join course-created Zoom sessions.

Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams lets you create virtual meeting spaces and facilitate group work. Using this platform, you can also share files and collaborate on documents in real time. Log in with your Douglas credentials to get started.
