Description
Instructions on using S1650 and S1670 as an event space.

Step-by-step guide

To hold an event
- Book both rooms S1650 and S1670, through Facilities-Room Bookings
- Inform Room Bookings that you want the room divider opened.
- Let Room Bookings know if you require any specific setup for the tables and chairs.
Note: Facilities staff are responsible for opening and closing the room divider. Opening the divider automatically activates the conference room control system.

To use the Public Address (PA) system
- If you are a Douglas College employee, submit an Event Support Request Form to Academic Technology Services (ATS) for PA audio support.
- If you are an external client, ask Room Bookings to refer you to the NW Library to rent microphones and related audio equipment.

|
To start up the Conference System
- Touch the screen to automatically turn on the two projectors. Wait while the projectors warm up before selecting a source.

To display a PC
- Select and manually turn on a computer located in one of the instructor’s desks.
- Sign in using your College Network Access username and password.
- Choose your display device
- Select both Projectors using the grey icons.
- Choose your input: select a PC to display under either room S1650 or S1670.

To display a Document Camera or Laptop
- Turn on the document camera or laptop at one of the desks.
- Doc Cams are installed and wired into the system
- Laptops connect via a cable. See detailed Laptop and Doc Cam instructions in Additional Resources on this page.
- Choose your display device: select both Projectors using the grey icons.
- Choose your input: select the matching Laptop or Document Camera icon located in the Display Inputs section of the Room Controller

To display a Blu-ray or DVD
A Blu-ray player is located in the top rack of the cabinet on the floor under each desk.
- Manually turn on the Blu-ray player if necessary. Load disc.
- Choose your display device(s): select both Projectors using the grey icons
- Choose your input: select the matching Blu-ray icon located in the Display Inputs section.
The Blu-ray players support Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs

Shut down the system
- On the touch panel, select the red Shutdown button.
- A screen will appear: “Do you want to turn both systems off?”
- Select Yes and wait for the shutdown process to complete
